Dr. McCurley is a native Texan with deep roots in the Texas Hill Country. He is the proud father of three children and lucky husband to his wife Wendy. He earned a degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. McCurley completed his Family Medicine residency in Waco and Sports Medicine fellowship in San Antonio.
As a Sports Medicine Physician, Dr. McCurley’s goal is to keep his patients on track to living an active, healthy life. From treatment of acute injuries in the young athlete to the management of painful joints in athletes who continue to compete into their retirement years, Dr. McCurley treats muscle, bone and joint injuries and conditions with a conservative, non-surgical approach.
As a Family Physician, Dr. McCurley enjoys caring for patients of all ages; from the first newborn appointment to adolescence and throughout adulthood. He is an advocate for his patients and strives to keep his patients engaged in their health.
Dr. McCurley enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, golf, most team sports, skiing, triathlon, gardening and auto mechanics. He is an active member at Currey Creek Church.
